I wanted to write (albeit a bit late) and thank you for the wonderful job you did on our wedding.  Gina and I are very happy with how the photos turned out, and we've received nothing but compliments from family and friends. The thing we liked the most was how relaxed and fun you made the process -- from our engagement session (which we are so glad we did, as an opportunity for us to get to know you and vice versa) to the wedding photos -- we were grateful that you were there to not let us take ourselves too seriously.  You are so easy to work with, and things went so smoothly.  I don't think we can underestimate how much fun we had with you as our photographer -- when the day was over, it felt like we had had a good friend take our photos.  Well, a good friend that is vegetarian and who we tried to feed a steak to (oops).

We love our wedding pictures and the afternoon we spent as movie stars with you and Jess at the market.  In fact my friend Desiree was just saying Tuesday that our wedding album was the most incredible photo book she has ever seen.  It is fun to have that special day memorialized as artwork that we happen to be part of instead of a posed photo that would eventually be filed.  We pull our album out all the time when company comes that were not able to attend the ceremony and overwhelmingly people comment on how much fun it looks like everyone is having and what a joyful celebration we had-in other words- the emotions and feelings of the evening came through the pictures- it is magical!

It's hard to express how much our photos have meant to us.  There are the photographers who take the typical photos ones where everyone is in position doing their thing. But then there are the photographers that capture who you are as a couple, and the adoration you feel for one another, and the joy you share.

Cassie is the photographer who captures the fleeting moments of the day - the quiet ones and the boisterous ones - the handshake between your father and your husband, the expressions on your parents faces as they hug you, your new husband adjusting your necklace, the bouquet in mid-air and the looks of hope, doubt and yes sometimes fear on the faces of your girlfriends as they look to catch it.

We have spent hours pouring over our photos.  Whenever we need a pick me up, we turn to them.  I often tear up, which may seem contradictory given that were looking for a little levity, but in some strange way it always works and we feel lifted up. Cut corners elsewhere, but don't cut corners on the photography. You'll treasure them always - they're your memories.

Very few of our married friends are happy with their wedding photos.  They told us to lower our expectations, and be grateful if we got a couple of good shots.  We felt confident working with you, and you truly rewarded our trust.  We were amazed at the percentage of truly wonderful photos.  Not only did you capture the joy and warmth of our ceremony and reception, but you made us look great and feel comfortable in the process as well.
